Better, but still not there yet…

With each new book, the author has been improving some of the issues.

This time around the FMC actually considers the lack of a codon and pregnancy, but easily dismisses it, which really isn’t believable. She also never considers STDs..
No one ever questions disease’s, or alien bacteria etc..

There’s still no mention of hair brushes, or toothbrushes. We also forgot about the toilet issue once again.

There’s a definite feeling of the whole Nobel Savage, ignoring all the real issues that occur in such a situation.
How hard the work is, how it doesn’t stop for the injured, sick, or physically less strong.
The violence that often exists, the drudgery and necessary repetition, and never mind winters. The lack of heating, antibiotics, books, washing machines and dryers…

Yeah, try imagining your idyllic freedom then, haha
This would be so much better if they were making the best of the situation they were in, rather than cla8ming this as ‘better’ than Earth.

I also don’t understand the lack of any technology, when they are aware of space travel and all that’s connected to it? They use the translators, so why wouldn’t they make use of other items?

The author included more about other tribes this time, but it felt more of a plot device for future books, than real development.
There’s been nothing regarding, art, religion, group dynamics and structure.
It’s all been very basic and stereotypical, based on our own cultural ideas of primitive culture (this despite their awareness and exposure to more advanced technology and cultures? You would think, that this would have a greater affect..).

There’s so much I enjoy about this universe and the story idea, but there’s also so much missing, it’s frustrating.
I keep reading as it does little by little, improve with each new book. But some aspects just seem to be moving so slowly… they feel so obvious, I can’t help but be disappointed that they haven’t been addressed.

This feels like more than the shallow, silly erotica that this genre is often filled with, and yet, it never grows into more…
It feels caught between the 2 styles-trends…

It’s possible I’m wanting more than the author wants to live up to..
Not sure if I will continue.

A quick, fun read about fated mates and the struggle of accepting those feelings.

Naomi is a tough woman who's used to being alone and pushing others away, and Luka is too focused on following in his father's footsteps to want to admit that he's fallen for a human woman during a mission.

It's full of longing, passion, and feelings. And mostly-naked muscly alien men. Enjoyed it for the most part,
except I'm not a fan of entering through the back door (if you know what I mean)
so that ending was definitely a surprise.
