TW: Stalking, Torture, Dubious Consent, LOTS of Blood/Gore, Violence, Physical/Verbal/Emotional Abuse, Alcohol Abuse, Drug Abuse, Non-consent/Rape, Human Trafficking, Death of Children, Child Sacrifices, Murder.

Kinks: Choking, Gun Play (ahem), Breath Play, Bondage, Chase/Force.

This book contains very graphic and descriptive scenes of torture, murder, abuse (including children), rough and violent sex, and the emotional and physical affects of being stalked.

This is a *VERY* dark book and there's a lot of scenes that may make you very uncomfortable; I've included Trigger Warnings (TW), but be aware there may be more.

This book is absolutely amazing. AMAZING. I'm aware that this book is definitely not for everyone as it not only contains lots of violence and dark topics, it is a psychological thriller, and a super dark one at that.

Adeline is an indie writer who inherited her grandmothers house, Parsons Manor, after she died. She discovers her great grandmothers diaries and realizes her great grandmother not only was brutally murdered, but she also had a stalker.

Zane is a highly trained hacker who discovers and infiltrates human trafficking rings to destroy them and help get all the children home, or to a safe place where they can heal. He sees her at a book signing and immediately becomes obsessed with her. He starts stalking her and leaving her roses as his calling sign. He finally starts watching her outside her house and then moves to watching her from the inside as well. He tells her no man can touch her, because if they do, he will kill them.

"All I want to do is break her. Shatter her into pieces. And then arrange those pieces to fit against my own. I don't care if they don't fit -I'll fucking make them."*

This book does end on a cliffhanger and the next book isn't going to be out for another year, so... be warned. It vaguely reminds me of Penelope Douglas so if you enjoy her darker works, you might enjoy this one as well. Again, this book is amazing and if you don't mind dark, suspenseful books, I highly suggest you give this one a try!

I read it because it was hyped on the booktok, and I don’t regret reading it. It was a pretty good book with scenes that I still think about esp when reading other books in this genre.

⭐️ | Honestly this book should get less than one star.

I could not with this story. It had the potential to be a really good stalker horror love story, but it was too superficial and weird to me. Adeline’s character reminded me of Bella Swan in the first Twilight movies: awkward and weird.

Don’t even get me started about Zade. The constant going on about how strong and tall and cold blood killer this guy was already got old after the first chapter. How difficult it seemed for him to normally express his love or obsession with Adeline could have been such a good story, but the plot was not executed well enough for me to feel that.
