“Your good mood charm will be right where you left her.”

(Merry Christmas if you celebrate it, my friends! If not, happy Saturday!)

3.5 stars. This was a cute and super sexy Christmas novella, just what I was in the mood to read today. It's tropey to the max, but that's what I wanted and expected. Noelle, full of holiday cheer, finds herself in need of a place to stay after moving to a new state. She ends up staying with her friend's sister, Lennox, who is grumpy to the max and only reluctantly accepts this new room-mate. They're obviously very different, grumpy/sunshine in the usual adorable ways. Noelle was born on Christmas and is determined to enjoy the holiday even more than ever, especially now that she's in a new state and away from family. Lennox is completely burnt out on the holiday, and isn't much of a people person to begin with. But they're irresistibly attracted to one another, and I just loved this little romance so much. Really sexy, just like the first novella in this series, but believable and wholesome all the same. I'm just always up for a good opposites attract romance. It's pretty insta-love, needed a better edit, and I do wish the ending hadn't forced the HEA quite so hard, but I nevertheless enjoyed this a bunch.

Kudos!

This was a deliciously STEAMY!! F/F, grumpy/sunshine, dual POV, roommate romance between two opposites. I absolutely LOVED this little holiday novella that packs a huge punch of heat and Christmas cheer. My first by this author but for sure not my last. HIGHLY recommended for Adriana Herrera or Alyssa Cole fans and great on audio narrated by Christy Clarke and Tamara Austin!!

Steam level: open door, many sexually explicit scenes

Holiday Romance Readathon 2023: 10
4.5 stars

Short and sweet! I liked both characters, though I was a little worried that Lennox would be just a little too mean to Noelle for me to actually want to root for them to get together, but thankfully Lennox's apology game was strong. If you enjoy Christmas lover x Grinch holiday romance books, this one's for you.

I found Bring Merry while I was looking for books to complete my 50 state challenge, and was excited that it checked off a state that I needed. I was also excited to learn that there was an audiobook I could borrow. I really liked a lot about this short and sweet (and super steamy) novella (the tropes were fun (grumpy/sunshine, and forced proximity), and Noelle was a fun bubbly heroine), but it was not my favorite novella. I knew that this relationship would be fast tracked due to the length of the novella but it was just way too instalovey for me personally. Noelle and Lennon only knew each other for a few weeks and only liked each other for about a week before they were saying love. I feel like this book would have totally worked for me with about 100 or so more pages. While this was not my favorite I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, steamy Christmas read.

I needed a bigger grovel after Lenox was an absolute a$$ to Noelle. But the spice was excellent.

this had me smiling and blushing with the grumpy x sunshine dynamic & the forced proximity of their roommate situation. with that being said — and i KNOW it’s a novella — but this went 90 to nothing real quick. insta love is almost a given with novellas & i’m really hard to please with it. this one wasn’t my favorite.
