love this series - this one wasn't as good as previous, but they all have good plots with the police angle and plenty of romance plot to keep it hot as well!

This is the first book series I've read where bisexuality is written right. I love this series so much. I can't wait for the next book, and I'm buying every book written by this author, I'm so in love.

Quaid and Aslan are back solving another missing persons case as well as navigating the aftermath of the previous case. Aslan is fighting hard to arrive at some semblance of “normal” to get back to work and Quaid is giving him all the strength, support and encouragement that’s required. Quaid is also under pressure as he comes to terms with his new partner at work and his new case. A case that has many unanswerable questions, a number of suspects and twists and turn’s galore.

My heart went out to Aslan as he struggled with his sobriety and his coping mechanisms. Quaid once again shows that behind his hard exterior is a caring and compassionate man who knows what to do to help Aslan slay his latest demon. Throughout all the stress these wonderful men were there for each other both emotionally and physically which only strengthened their love for each other. Quaid also had me giggling when he interacted with Ruiz as that particular friendship solidified further.

This is a very engaging and enjoyable read that gripped me from the very start and kept me turning the pages. I love the story telling ability of this author. Each new instalment in the series is riveting, entertaining and innovative. I eagerly look forward to more in the series.

Quaid supports a traumatised Aslan while handling an acerbic new partner and difficult cases. Aslan is *really* going through it, and my heart hurts so much for him. His journey through PTSD is handled realistically. The moments where Quaid goes out of his comfort zone to support and care for Aslan are so good. Aslan has always been the one to reassure Quaid, and Quaid now shows that he is also the best boyfriend ever.

I loved the little but obvious ways they say 'I love you' to each other. Their relationship growth is just ten thousand kinds of wonderful, reaching a deep, settled but passionate kind of love. The case is on the tame side but I liked it fine, and the side charas are fun (Torin +Ruiz ftw). Oscar the kitten is adorbs! And *the ending*! 😱😍

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book and the characters. This book was even better than I hoped as I feared they would add relationship issues and they didn't. I have to admit that normal I work out who the bad guys are. In this one totally didn't get it. Definitely can't wait for the next one.
