I loved Aria and Cade. Their love story was beautiful, hard at times, intense and heartbreaking.
This was so much more than a love story. It was a girl who had been through childhood trauma who had dealt with it on her own for far too long. It was seeing her acknowledge she needed help and working on overcoming all of those hurdles to have a happy life.
This is without a doubt a story that will stay with me for a long time.

Dude.... what a ride!
Right from the beginning the angst was heavy and the drama was high.
Aria's struggle is real. I felt it. I get it. I get her.

I wanted to throw a few punches on my journey through this story- some of the characters need a good kick in the nads or other relevant anatomical places for the huge burden Aria carried on her shoulders. Like I said, it was heavy.
But I need to give props to Ms. Davies for tackling a difficult subject in such a 'real' and 'honest' way.

Underneath all of that was a true love story. One fought with challenges, hidden struggles and obvious villains. It made for a enthralling read.

Hooked

This book was amazing and I cannot wait to finish the books on this family. Abigail Davies is an amazing author. I love how I am able to feel how the characters feel and to "be there".

This conclusion to the duet really tore out my heart, twisted it and pulled at it and then shoved it back into my chest cavity. I have so many feelings! It was heartbreaking and beautiful, and just like the first in the duet, the portrayal of Aria’s mental health is so accurate and wrenching.
This book flows seamlessly from the first, and a lot of the loose ends are tied up nicely. I do wish that we’d had a little bit of a longer epilogue, because after all the pain that Cade and Aria (and me, by proxy) endured, I would have liked to have seen them happy for longer!
Regardless of not getting enough happiness at the end, this book gets 5 stars from me, since my issue with the first book didn’t carry through at all into the second.
