3.5 stars. KA writes great books and has a way of pulling you in and so far, I'm enjoying the Fantasyland series. I actually read the second book before the first, and although they can be read as stand-alones, reading this book first would've given me a bit more insight on Circe and Lahn (from the sequel). I was also introduced to the other characters for books 3 and 4, which makes me excited to read their stories.
So far, the second book is my favorite, but this book was enjoyable nonetheless. The concept of twins traveling to parallel universes is the same and maybe that's why I feel like I didn't enjoy this book as much as I could've seeing that this theme is being repeatedly used in the whole series and it makes the story feel quite overused and not fresh or creative.

The first 40% of this book was.... decent. I probably would’ve given it a 3 star if it continued on that thread. But then it just...... kept going. This book was unnecessarily long, and Frey was just icky. All of his abusive behavior was brushed off as “this is how it works in my land,” which is just not a good reason to be an asshole. Also, Finnie saying “Ho Boy” once on every page almost gave me an aneurism.

An enjoyable addition to the series. Having read out of order, I didn't really mess the series up. It clearly didn't matter in this case. I liked Frey immensely and Finnie.
Audio update: the single POV narration compliments Finnie's narrative well. It's great to finally have this series on audio.

Finnie lost her parents when she was young and seriously misses them. She inherited their thrive for adventure so when she learns of another realm with twins of her and her parents she decides to take a year long trip to this other realm. When she gets there it is not at all what she expected because her "twin" didn't give her all of the information needed about her life, but Finnie just goes with the flow and ends up marrying Frey Drakker the Dragon. I really loved Finnie, I love how she lives life to the fullest and isn't afraid to take a risk! Once she and Frey form a good relationship it turns out to be an awesome romance! Now Frey is seriously a jerk at first but I sort of do not blame him. Once he realizes Finnie is different than her twin he starts to give her a chance. This book has lots of romance, funny times but it also made me cry towards the end! It got really sad for a little while I won't spoil it though so you just have to read to figure out why. Can't wait to read the next book again KA is an awesome author, and she did a really good job creating this other realm with Elves, magic and Dragons!
OMG I totally fell in love with this book. I also nearly had a heart attack at a very dramatic part in the story but recovered immediately. This book is so immensely detailed and you feel as if you're right in the middle of Seaofin's Story. Loved it.

Ok, so I've been meaning to pick this up but kept dawdling since no matter how much I enjoy the story at first,KA's heroines and 'alpha' (assholes) get on my nerves real fast.
Anyway, the premise seemed interesting and I did like the story and Finnie didn't make me want to roll my eyes all that much.
So onwards to the next book.
