This is the second time reading this book (for a challenge) and I loved it just as much, maybe more, as the first time. There is so much story packed into this novella, along with hot sex, of course. Loved watching Ryan and Jillian get together for their HEA.

I am really liking these shorter books in the series. They give you just enough to keep wanting more. I always enjoy the narration Ryan West provides. I would rate this one at 3.5 stars.
Jill was not my favorite in this book because she took no responsibility for the initial break up from Ryan. When I found out what happened, my first thought was that she must have wanted out. I couldn't understand why she would just go along with the situation and never question it. Not even after she got over the initial shock.
Ryan was no Prince in the situation. His intentions may have been good, but he was stupid too. I was surprised that Jill wanted to lay total responsibility at Ryan's feet. They managed to work it out and reach their HEA.
This was a very short listen, only 2 hrs and 45 min. Although it was shorter, I was fully engrossed in the story and felt no need to fast forward to get past the superfluous dialogue in the longer books.

Iv gotten say when I first read about Ryan I wasn't sure about him. He starts out as very stick in the mud and way to serious for the Sanctum family but this book really shows his good side and u find out quickly that he's a love sick puppy fallen on hard times and struggling to be a big bad Dom as well. He struggles to communicate with people he loved and gave away without explanation but he does make up for it. I love that Ian is seen as the Dom fairy godmother really couldn't picture that but well funny to try. Great HEA

Sanctum was a quick read where we get a look into the life of Ryan, the Dom in residence at Sanctum. We have seen him a few times in past books, but weren't given much information about him. Well, this book not only does he get his sub Jillian back, he also has the opportunity to get his wealth back. Ryan and Jill had a strict D/s relationship before and at the end of their contract Ryan set Jill up with another Dom. Well, despite never saying it they were in love and neither forgot the other. When Jill comes in for an interview at Sanctum, they get their second chance at love. This was a quick but satisfying read. It gives the reader another view into Sanctum, but it doesn't move the underlying story of this series further. I give this book a solid 4 stars and will be reading it again.

A quickie novella that hits the spot!!
I loved learning more about Ryan - the resident Dom at Sanctum - and it was great to see him get a second chance with the woman that he sent away 18 months earlier. This story was a great little novella that had Lexi's trademark heat, the right amount of BDSM and a little intrigue to go with it (not as much as usual though!!). A great read!

Novella from the Masters and Mercenaries series, this story follow the manager of Sanctum, Ryan and his ex-sub Jillian.
Ryan has been a wreck the past two years without Jillian in his life. He asked a fellow Dom friend of his to take over the contract he had with Jillian when he felt he couldn't care for her anymore.
Little did he know that Jillian's past two years have been just as hard on her. Not because of the fellow Dom, but because she gave up the lifestyle and has been struggling to make ends meet.
She get hired at Sanctum as the bartender position, and as fate would have it, these two love birds rekindle their attraction for one another.
Of course, Jillian is too scared to be "given away" again, but I don't blame her for that. And of course, Ryan wants nothing more than to do whatever he can to be with her again after seeing the error of his way.
Their attraction is fast and hot. They know each others bodies already and that's nice in a novella so a lot of the first time nervousness doesn't happen. I also really enjoyed the female lead role having piercings. She was the first I've ever read that had a few piercings already and it made the sensual scenes even better!
Great novella. I'm not normally a fan of them, but I really love this series and since I skipped over it when I read the other books, I'm glad I went back to it so I could actually see the outcome of Ryan/Jills arrangement.
