A bizarre, pop-culture infused homage to Osamu Tezuka. Robots saved Japan during WW IV, but they have now been outlawed and are reviled by most humans. The robots' inventor builds one more new model, and disguises her as his human granddaughter. Her mission is to take out rogue robots, but she quickly begins to doubt her task. Are these robots her siblings? Whose side should she take? One of the most fun aspects of this book was searching in the background of very panel for references to other robot classics. Daleks rub shoulders with R2D2s and Gundam-style mecha in nearly every frame.
