Honestly just too many cliches packed in. It felt forced.
Mysteriously missing husband who suddenly reappears, boy from high school who she always loved, unknown dad, pregnant teen, teen questioning sexuality,
it was a little much. The first half of the book was also slow. I know it’s meant to be a light-hearted read, but I still like it not to be cringey tropes piled in. And the ending was so fast. Truly last two pages of happily ever after.

This story is filled with a lot of heavier topics. The missing husband is just the tip of the iceberg into what the author tackles in this book. The book reflects mostly on the woman in the family and the separate struggles they are all facing. I went into this feeling it would be a pretty easy, simple beach read but I was pleasantly surprised and loved the more difficult subjects in the book.
