Sera spends most of this book being held prisoner and abused by Kolis. It feels darker than other books but ends with Sera being ascended by Ash at the last second. And becoming the primal of life and finding a family. Lots of sex happens and the book ends with a HEA

I’m somehow really enjoying these books and also rolling my eyes constantly throughout them. Sera is annoying and dumb. The ending of this one was cringe to me. I am now wondering if the similarities between blood and ash and this one are more intentional though.
