McCarthy's imagery is unmatched. This novel features what is now my favorite antagonist of any story. It is dark, brooding, and incredibly reflective. Full of gore and detailed landscapes, with allusions to the Mexican Tarot in every chapter. This is a book that would benefit from multiple reads and is bound to promote discussion among those who dissect it.
