There's a bit that feels like an ending
when she goes back to the human world
and I just didn't feel any need to know what happens next. I read enough further to get to the next hook, but I just wasn't hooked.

After literal YEARS of people telling me that I needed to give this series a try, I can officially say that all of those people were 100% correct. I was a bit hesitant about this series as I am not a true romance girlie, however the way that Sarah Maas develops the relationships between characters, it feels so holistic, genuine and honestly sweet and doesn’t feel forced or over the top. I felt very connected to the world of Prythian (even though I can figure out how to pronounce it lol) and I fell quickly in love with all of the characters and felt all the emotions along with them as the story developed. I also developed a mad crush for my boy Tamlin and the relationship between him and Feyre was beyond wholesome that legitimately warmed my heart. I also feel that Sarah Maas’ writing isn’t super complex but it doesn’t insult your intelligence with over simplification either. She strikes a balance between easy reading while still offering literary minds a challenge, giving readers enough details to paint the picture without fixating on minute details that don’t add to the story. She allows her writing to focus on her characters and its most certainly feels that way. So this is probably not going to be a book for die hard, high fantasy buffs but if you are wanting an adult, faerie themed twilight series (book not movies) with a little spice, this is going to be your jam.
