This was such a fun read/listen (I listened on audible). Susan did an awesome job expanding the world building in this book. I found listening to the story engaging and easy to follow and loved Winnie's perspective of things.
I enjoyed the plot progression from the first book. And it was awesome to hear the progress Winnie made in regard to her dad and Jay situation. It was also great to see how she grew throughout the book learning from her mistakes and improving.
I also loved the little bit of romance that was thrown in there. What I was sad about was how some of the smaller characters seemed to get a little forgotten about in this book. But hopefully we will see them more in the next one.

Much more enjoyable on Audio than book #1. I had an irritant she kept clicking her teeth, all through the book, ARGUH ! In this one there are only two clinching of the teeth that I counted at appropriate times
Lazy review to follow:
I really like the relationships between Winnie and Jay. She's a bit blind and dumb to him sometimes but hey she's young so she's forgiven. When she finally figures it out it may be too late. Jay, he should have spoken up, this book ends with him in a ____ situation.
All the side characters really pulled their parts well, no slackers in the group. Some are so nosey ! get a life of your own people or stop hiding important facts, yeah they do that.
I can't wait for book #3 there was a doozy of a cliffhanger
