I don't think I've read a vampire book where the vampire is trying to become human again, it was a refreshing change.
I enjoyed the characters and setting, there was history and context to what is happening thank goodness!

When I started it I felt very mid on it. Another vampire book, which I feel like has been done so much in the past few years. After a bit though I did find myself invested in the characters. I liked that the girl was the bad ass in this story, and the boy was the softie. There was pretty much never a moment when something wasn't happening. Even when there were happy, carefree moments, they were short lived. I liked it showing that people can fall in love quickly while still getting to know the person, although it doesn't happen in a day or an hour like in some disney movies. I enjoyed the ending and felt it was very real and fitting.

Really good, I really enjoyed this book. It was really funny and cute and sweet. And the story was interesting and some things I didn’t expect and the vampiros were really interesting with how they work. Because it’s feels different and fresh.
