Say No To Dancing On Bridges!
This was an interesting read. I know the character from Sherlock Holmes but I'm intrigued by the origin story that's begun in this volume. It feels like a deep read so, while I did enjoy this volume, I probably won't binge it. The characters are fascinating and the ones introduced at the end definitely have my curiosity peaked! I'm looking forward to seeing justice dispensed in the next volume!

So the idea of Moriarty being some sort of anti-hero before he met Sherlock Holmes was an interesting storyline to read about, but I think there's just something missing from this story. And I have to admit, from the description, I was looking forward to William trying to take care of his younger orphaned brothers, but we skipped right past all of that with a time jump.
This manga series begins with Albert Moriarty, the oldest son in the Moriarty family, noticing how people of a higher class treat those lower than them in the class system. It bothers him and makes him want to be different and change the way things are. Here's where Louis and William come in, his adopted orphan brothers. Together, they're going to take the corrupt nobleman down, one by one, until only the good ones are left. With their friends, can they succeed?
They did move through the different chapters a little too fast for my liking. It was almost like they were trying to rush the story instead of making sure that the story was actually good. There were three parts to the first manga, the first was describing their origins as Moriarty's. The second and third were stories describing their first foray into taking down the noblemen. The story moved too fast and didn't include as much fluff about the characters as I would've wanted. We still barely know the main characters and they just added some side ones at the end of the first volume.
Reading the description on the back of the manga and then actually reading the manga are two different experiences. I think that if the summary had been just a little different then my expectations wouldn't have been as high as they were. I'll admit that I was disappointed by this manga, but I'll keep reading to see if the other ones are better!! I have volumes 2-3 laying right next to me so I'll see how they turn out!
If you're looking to read something that will fulfill your fantasy of seeing rich people get their comeuppance, then this manga series might be for you!! Take a chance at least? Happy Reading!!!

"Are humans truly incapable of change from the moment they're born?"
Mysterious and enlightening, the spark in the dark. A beautiful manga for those new and long-time fans of Sherlock and English literature.

No matter how much time passes, no matter where we go, it’s always the same: Hell is empty, and all the devils are here.
A Moriarty retelling? Oh, fun. Should be a crime to be satisfied of watching the Moriartys killing off the riches, no?
