This book was everything I wanted but didn’t realize until I read it. I love the way the heroine, Jasper, and Linden first meet. Linden thinks she is burglarizing his deceased neighbors house but it is actually been inherited by Jasper from her aunt. This means it’s a prickly start and seeing how they interact afterwards is so entertaining.
The banter between Jasper and Linden is delightful. This is a steamy book in the sense that although the steam happens halfway through the book, there is so much sexual tension between them for most of the book. It’s so lovely the way Jasper’s insecurities and Linden’s past are handled so thoughtfully. Jasper is learning that being good at a job doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the job you should have. Linden learns that although he could be hurt, if he doesn’t let people in closer he can’t love.
All in all this is a book that will definitely be a reread for me so e4 rather than later. Eagerly awaiting future books written by Kate Canterbury.

I cannot even put into words how much I adored this book

2.5 stars. Quite boring honestly. Had the potential to be pow-wow but the writing is just flat
What is a growly man? He's the kind of man who needs his woman. Who can't understand why anybody would have ever done her wrong in the past. It's more than need, more than desire. It's the very definition of soulmates that these sometimes fumbling 21st century men feel but can't define.
Linden is one lumberjack sex-on-a-stick man that's stuck in bachelorville. As much as his mom pokes and prods, he's happy where he's at in life. Along comes his new neighbor Jasper, fresh off a whirlwind career-ending disaster, catapulting this man from happily single to endearingly smitten.
I loved everything about them. Neither of them wants love or commitment, yet as a reader I found them falling so hard and so fast. She's a powerhouse of a female, and he knows just how to handle all her spunk. Their back-and-forth banter kept me reeling. They find themselves in a unique space where they become quick friends and eventual lovers. Their sexy times were hot AF and their blooming connection is what kept me reading.
Side note: His mother Diana is hilarious and I only hope to be that kind of annoyingly sweet mother when my kids are older.

This is my first read by Kate Canterbary, and I really did enjoy reading this one! The Bella and The Beard is book #3 in The Santillian Triplets series, however it's a standalone. At first, it took me a while to get into the story, however I was pulled in after a couple of chapters in. And there were some scenes that had me laughing out loud. The main characters are amazing! And their dialogues with each other was certainly hilarious. Jasper (heroine) and Linden's (hero) first encounter wasn't really pleasant, to say the least. I mean, Linden thought Jasper was a burglar! They definitely got under each others' skin. Linden is annoyed with Jasper's need to prove herself, and most importantly to him, that she doesn't need any assistance from him. And Jasper is fed up with Linden's persistence need to lend a helping hand. After all, she can take care of herself, or more like she is use to taking care of herself. Hence, most of the people who are closest to her let Jasper down. I liked the build up and tension throughout the book. Linden can see how deeply unhappy Jasper is. Jasper is surprised and scared at the same time, because Linden, can see right through her defences and she has all these unexpected emotions towards him. However, they are perfect for each other in every way.
Jasper is a problem solver; she makes problems disappear at the the flick of her hand. Hence, that is why she was so good at her job. After her on air/live television scandal, Jasper's life has turned upside down. So, she decided to pack up her bags and go into hiding, to be away from the public eye. Linden is content living in solitude. When it comes to the matters of the heart, Linden avoids it at all costs; he is not interested in having a relationship. He likes to keep things casual. Jasper and Linden are now next door neighbors. It's impossible to avoid each other, especially when Jasper faces a new problem every day at her house.
**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review

I was enjoying this book but paused at 25% to finish some ARCs, and now I think its been too long to pick up where I left off but also I'm not in a space to start from the beginning—gonna pause this and read another time! I've just heard such good things & I want to give it the time and attention it deserves
This book was sweet. I loved Jasper and found myself connecting with her probably more than I should have. I was expecting a bit more of a slow burn, insta love/lust isn't really my thing, but I still liked it.
