I decided to read some Flaubert in French. This is probably his best known short story and I kind of adored it. Perhaps the Frenchism helped. Lots of love for old women stories and old women stories where she falls in love with a parrot which is also God is tip-top. Many amusing moments to be had love good one Gustave

I find it hard to "rate" this, as a "classic", but it didn't do much for me, personally.

Life and love are nothing but a series of associations passed along endlessly, arbitrarily, but not without comfort — one of the few dignified rights humans have to their undignified names. And look around you, look who gets comfort. Not the hearts like Félicité.

Kısa ve duygusal bir anlatımla bir kadının hayatını anlatmış gustave flaubert bence hoş bir hikayeydi.

Such a simple and touching story.
Sometimes you don't need a lot of things to be happy in life. Even though religion and domestic life haven't given me the same peace and serenity I respect people who find joy in them.
I liked the book overall, and Flaubert has a beautiful writing style that won me over in Madame Bovary. Probably the next book I'll read from him will be Sentimental Education, to shorten my physical to-read pile.
