I'm not sure why Goodreads has made Bishakh Kumar Som two different people. That's computers for you I guess. I like this book. It definitely feels like a precursor to her book Apsara Engines. There's a lot of repeated themes between the two works.

The stories in this book are a little bit clumsy, but the art is really nice. There's one section that just looks like grunge CD covers from the 90s, or another that looks like something from Aeon Flux. Her style ranges a lot more in this book than in her later work.

One thing that is really cool is the architecture in the two books is similar. In both there are these ship like buildings that are filled with these intricate curves and lines. It's a striking settings style and I want to see more of it.

This book isn't large and it's not going to necessarily change some one's life. It's a good art piece though and it's especially interesting when you compare it to her later work.
