I really enjoyed this series! It was funny and dark and thrilling, and the artwork is beautiful and interesting - especially so in this final volume! The colouring was particularly amazing in this one. A fantastic wrap-up.

The final volume in the Spectacle series was the best yet!
The author's illustrations were more refined, their color work was stunning, and the storytelling flowed together seamlessly. Each character's personality was identifiable and brought something different to this series' conclusion. The story itself wrapped up nicely, was rewarding to read, and included great humor.
All together this was an odd but very unique graphic novel collection. I'm excited to see what this author will create in the future since they vastly improved throughout these publications!
Thank you to the publishers who provided me with an ARC of this book through NetGalley!

Volume five was definitely the best instalment in the series and that’s a little sad to say. I wish the entire series had this much action, emotion and character development. Overall, this is a very decent series, but this volume really was a standout.
The colour work was incredible. I loved the sections in ‘hell’, the colour scheme and world design were stunning. I’m a huge fan of pinks, purples and blues as a palette, and it was done beautifully here.
A lot happened in Spectacle volume five, and the pacing was done pretty well. The end seemed a bit rushed with Anna staying behind and fighting her way back (which you don’t see) happening over just a few pages. But honestly, I’m pretty happy with how everything went down.
The cast of characters bonded even further, everyone had clearly identifiable personalities and the ending was satisfactory. The whole thing felt like a fever dream, but in the best way possible. Everything made logical sense and it wasn’t a classic case of deus ex machina, well not completely. It definitely had a sense of that, but I didn’t mind it.
I loved the section after the ending of the story which told you what the characters got up to after everything went down. The closure was satisfying and the little stories were very interesting. It was great to read what they all did into their old ages and I loved that Anna became a crime-fighting vigilante.
If you are looking for a unique graphic novel series with an intriguing story, then I’d definitely recommend Spectacle. It takes a while to get going, but it’s a ton of fun and the art style is great.

I found a murder mystery graphic novel! Okay so I’m sure there are others out there but I’ve never read one before and I love a good murder mystery.
What an ending!! The story tied up lots of loose strings from the whole story and managed to create a happy/satisfying ending. Including giving updates on what the characters are doing after the story ends.
If you love a good mystery with interesting characters definitely check this series out.
