This is a short yet emotionally-charged novel that leaves a strong impression through the thief’s relationship with the boy. It felt too brief, leaving a lot of details vague and the writing style made it a challenging read. The heavy use of symbolism added a lot of depth. A haunting read, and I'm torn between whether I think it would have benefited from being longer or not.
