Good book. I would rate it 3 1/2 stars. It took me much longer than usual to get into it. Not sure if it was the story or narrator or both. It got more interesting about 40% in. I ended up enjoying it and learning more about the Lindbehrgs.

Having recently read "The Paris Wife," I couldn't help but compare this story to that. Both have women who become something other than themselves for their husbands, and they both loved emotionally distant men. This book got better towards the end due, in my opinion, to the introspection of Anne. I enjoyed learning about this celebrated and tragic family.

Highly enjoyable.

Interesting story about Anne Morrow Lindbergh. At times felt she deserved better. The book was written so the reader felt they were with Anne. Had to keep reminding my self it's historical fiction. Worth the read.

3.5 - This definitely made me curious about Anne Morrow. I had no idea she was an aviator herself and I enjoyed doing more research after I read the book. Very well written and nicely paced.

Interesting time in history. Learned quite a bit from this book I did not know. I changed my perception of both Charles Lindbergh and his wife, Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I'm going to go back and re-read "Gift from the Sea."

A little melodramatic at parts but I really enjoyed this story. I’m a big historical fiction fan and while I know parts are made up, the overall story really emphasizes the fact that you never know what goes on behind closed doors. I’m interested in checking out their biographies now and one of the books that she wrote.

Here we go again. Another novel about the woman behind a famous man. And the man is an ahole, and the woman struggles with her independence, and in the end I'm just disappointed in the whole relationship. I really need to stop reading these.
