An enjoyable summer read!

I love books about / set in TV series and this book for sure delivered.

I appreciated Cas’ flawed personality and I was so happy to see her come out of her shell around Ada, Femi, and the others.

Special shoutout to Ada’s stationery business. LOVE TO SEE IT!!!

This was such a fun choice to pick since I've been having some Love Island withdrawals 😅 I love that the author is clearly a fan (duh) but the name parallels are great. I mean the main character is named Cas...😂 Overall this was a quick read and it truly felt like I was reading the plot of a Love Island season. This was also the first book I'd read with LGBTQ+ as the main love interests. I loved Cas and Ada, I was rooting for them to get together a whole lot sooner than they did! Highly recommend this, was a perfect end of summer read!

Loving the book so far, but my brain can’t get into reading. Looking forward to getting back into this!

This was the perfect book to exit summer with. A love island inspired sapphic romance? Count me in.

The build up to Cas and Ada’s romance felt very natural, but it felt like they got together just as the book ended, and it didn’t even really feel like they were together when the third act conflict was happening.

It would’ve been interesting to have Ada’s pov, but I didn’t feel hungry for loads more at the end of the book.

Overall, I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would and it was definitely one of the lightest and easiest books I’ve ever read.

This was super fun! I’ve watched like 1½ seasons of Love Island US, and I loved seeing a book with a more queer version of it. The whole thing about how “anything goes” but most of the couples are still m/f totally tracks. And I like the social media posts, I definitely was thinking some people would recognize Cas if the app is big enough, so I’m glad they addressed that right away, and it makes sense that that ends up being the major conflict of the story.

Cas and Ada’s relationship was nice, I loved the relatable “oh but does she REALLY” like me aspect of it, and this is a story where the third act breakup totally makes sense. I also really like that Cas went into the show wanting a friend couple and came out with several friends AND a girlfriend :’)

Thanks to NetGalley and Putnam Books for the digital ARC in exchange for my review. I’ve been wanting to read this since like February and I got approved for the ARC in June so idk what took me so long to read it, but I’m glad I finally did!
