I give this book 3.5 stars simply because I enjoyed 7/10 of the short stories here. The ones I didn't reall love were "Menlo Park," "Arcadia" and "Mack the Knife." My favorites were "What Can You Do With a General" and "Marion."
The stories here are very character driven. When Cline makes a great character, she makes a great story. I much preferred her novel "The Girls," but luckily "Daddy" brings many characters and settings that remind me of "The Girls."
