In this quick, short chapter book good for transitional readers, Danny loves to brag and exaggerate. A mean, big bully Two-Ton Tonya can't stand his getting away with his lies. But when Danny brags he's a champion swimmer and then must prove it at summer camp, Danny's only hope for not embarrassing himself and letting down his friends is none other than expert swimmer Tonya. In return, Danny gives Tonya tips on handling other who call her names because of her weight.
With story starting off rocky with the annoying braggart Danny, I found in the end this to be unexpectedly touching and warm story about understanding, compassion, and unlikely friendship.
