We once had a Star Wars costume contest at work and every single guy dressed as Han Solo. How can his name be Solo if he's always with Chewie?
This is a classic heist tale with a Star Wars twist and one of the better Star Wars novels I have read. Solo, desperate for credits to pay his debts to Jabba, agrees to rip off the second biggest criminal organization in the galaxy, Black Sun. Who better to help than his on again, off again BFF, Lando Calrissian?
In true Han fashion, trouble ensues as the field begins to fill with more players than there are banthas on Tatooine. And naturally, the Empire has a hand to play too. Enjoy.

Star wars meets oceans 11... but worse.
Its a fun enough concept and the story is fine it's just not very good. It tries to bridge a couple of gas between episode 4 and 5 by examaning Hans relationship with Lando and Jabba but i dont think that was needed.
The twist at the end just isn't very good and I dont think fits the character.

A fun audiobook in the style of Ocean's 11 - the reader does Han well, and a decent Lando. Not canon.
I enjoyed how the character Winter, who in the 90s novels just seemed always there in the background as the baby sitter to the Solo twins, was such a presence in this book on her own mission. It’s hard to get these stories that just fit in between pre established events to feel special, and getting a surprise dose of her backstory kept me more engaged that I otherwise was

Pretty good book, and I think Zahn did a fairly good job of characterization. The whole book had an Oceans 11 feel about it, and sometimes the plot got so thick I lost the narrative, but I was still pleased how everything came together in the end. In fact, the book is almost worth reading just for the reveal that closes it out.
I haven't read a Star Wars book since the mid-late nineties and was hoping that Zahn's new book would bring back some of what I remembered from his Star Wars Thrawn trilogy from the early nineties. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing read as it felt like a modern day heist story that was crammed into the Star Wars universe rather than a heist story set in a galaxy far, far away...
It has Han & Lando & is written by Timothy Zahn. That's all you need to know this book is amazeballs.
