Faked

The moment I finished Faked, I wanted to dive back in. I love these characters so much. This book is everything I love about Karla Sorensen’s stories. They are low angst. Entertaining and addictive. Although, I’m worried about my angst meter since other readers seem to say it was heavy on the angst, maybe I’ve been desensitised. Regardless, it’s a fantastic story that everyone should read. Karla’s writing is captivating.

I loved Bauer from the moment he showed up. He’s a bad boy with a heart, and I just adore him. He has issues but doesn’t let that stop him exploring things. His vulnerabilities were a big part of his allure. And Claire, she is awesome too. I just love her and her family. The dynamic she has with them is fantastic. I wanna be a part of that family. Although, at times I wanted to give Lia a quick slap with her judgemental ways.

I loved that neither of them really knew what they were getting themselves into in this story. What should have been one night of fun turned into so much more. The chemistry between them was off the charts, and I had to stop myself from shouting ‘Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!’ at my Kindle multiple times. I love forced proximity stories and this one is one for the record books. A favourite of 2020 for sure.

And what about that cover? Holy batman! Swoon alert. I saw it and knew, without a doubt, that I needed the book in my life.

I'm always into insta spark but not into insta love. Maybe I'm being cynical but tje knew each other just five days.

I’m absolutely loving this series!

I’m not even sure I can put into words my feelings about this book and this series. Bauer is beautifully broken and Claire has some issues of her own but together they are healed and whole. I smiled through just about the whole book and as I got close to the end I thought oh no the twist is coming and I got nervous for Claire and Bauer. I appreciate Karla Sorensen not making me worry about them for long! I couldn’t love this series more. I looked forward to picking up this book every day and now I’m off to start the next one!

Bauer is the swooniest character I've read in a long time. Loved this!

I've enjoyed the entire series.

Surprise date. Fake dating. Working through childhood traumas together. Snowed in together at a cabin. HE CALLS HER PRINCESS BC SHE LOOKS LIKE HIS FAVE DISNEY PRINCESS. This book makes me want to throw up and squeal.

Safety:
-Insta love
-No virgins finally
-He immediately knew she wasn't Lia
-Dual POVs
-No cheating
-No ow drama
-Om drama: she had a crush on his half brother, who didn't even notice
-2 months later epilogue

"Love is always a risk, Claire. Always. Every day, even when you're together, because the day you stop choosing your partner is the day you risk losing them. That's the truth in love and relationships and business and life. It translates across every line. We make choices in what matters to us, but not everyone is brave enough to take that step without knowing we have someone ready to take it with us."

So good.

This is almost an instalove story but I still really liked it. Claire and Bauer’s story has me super excited for the next one.

Felt instalove-y for me
