Sarah J Maas, my sweetest love. You have done it again. Constantly raising the bar.
I can’t give 5 stars because it’s such a large book and probably could have done without some of the chapters.
But wow!!!! I felt very emotionally invested in Bryce, and my heart hurt for her every time a portion of her past unravelled and I learned a little more about what she’s been through. The unparalleled force of her friendship with Danika constantly had me tearing up and it was so beautifully woven throughout the book. There’s some loose ends that I’m hoping will be followed up in the next book but I won’t be rushing to read it as they are SO DAMN LONG !!!

Why the last 100 pages of every Sarah J Maas book THE MOST STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE?!! I had read a lot on Booktok about how I'd struggle with the world building at the start of this book and anticipated that I would have a lot of trouble getting into it for that reason, but I did not! Loved it! LOVED IT!
