Was kind of slow and took a long time to read. Had to return to the library before finishing. Got about halfway through, to the beginning of The False Solutions of Biosynthesis (or whatever that chapter's called).

What a fantastic book! I learned so much about fiber both plant and protein, how and where it is processed and how our clothes are connected to agriculture. Also learned about how horrible synthetic dyes are and how toxic synthetic fiber and conventionally grown cotton are. The book is packed with information about people who are creating "fibersheds," regional soil-to-soil fabric/fiber/clothing creation with climate impact in mind. The book contains a great list of resources as well as a bibliography for further reading.
