I really enjoyed this book! It was gripping, constantly moving forward, and had me on the edge of my seat. I loved not knowing who to trust (even when it came to the narrator). There were some moments when I really did not like Gwen and her choices, but I think that added to the overall novel.

I'm not a huge fan of series, so I'm not eager to jump to the next book. I may wait awhile before I come back. All the same, I would definitely recommend this if you're into mystery and thrillers.

I picked up this book as a Kindle First selection a couple of months ago and just finally got around to reading it. I wasn't expecting much because my Kindle First picks have historically been rather lackluster, but this was SO unexpectedly good! When I first read the synopsis, I didn't pay too much attention to this line, "[Gwen is] still the target of stalkers and Internet trolls who think she had something to do with her husband’s crimes," but that is the main focus of the entire story. I admit that I have never once given thought to someone who has had to reinvent their entire life and identity, not because they were simply a witness to a crime, but because they were falsely accused and acquitted of being involved in said crimes. This novel thrusts that scenario into your face, and the result is an absolutely riveting, fast-paced, and engrossing thriller!

I rounded my 4.5 star rating down this time, because I usually can't stand it when I figure out who the "bad guy" is too early in the book, but this one was full of so many different twists and angles that I couldn't be sure I was actually correct (though I was!) until the end. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in December!

Really bothered by some inconsistencies in the book. The story itself moves along well and has a lot of anticipation, but about halfway through you start thinking to yourself that someone so paranoid would not be allowing herself to be railroaded when she’s got proof sitting at home
