I don’t know how this book has so many good reviews. I read A LOT of books in the romance genre. There have been very few that I would consider “not good books”. I’ve never even left a review before. But I’m halfway into this book and my eyes hurt from rolling them so much. The writing is so juvenile. The tweets that the main guy sends throughout the book are making me feel nauseous. I love cheesy romance novels, I really do. Even with the dumbest books, there are parts, characters, or something I love that keeps me reading. This one is so bad I have no desire to finish it. Which would make this the first book I’ve ever not finished.... it really is that bad. I cringe at every page at least once. I’m so bored and over it I skip multiple paragraphs. Pages even, and when I start reading again I’m caught up to speed instantly because the book is so. Damn. Boring.

Soooo yeah... I promise I’m not “picking” on this novel. I’ve read 47 books in 2018, 99% of them being romance novels, and I’ve never felt a need to give a review. Until now. This is not a good book. Maybe for teenagers. I could see liking this when I was in high school.

I was going to give this book 2 stars bc it was really cute in like the first three quarters of it, but as I finished it, I realized that I can't. I actually ended up laughing bc it's so ridiculous. I could never picture these two protagonists as college kids bc they acted like actual teenagers in high school. It was all very childish. It had some really cute parts though!

I really loved that this was a clean sweet romance that was very well written. Books like this are hard to find.

This was so good. I laughed, smiled, and even cried a bit. I’m pretty sure the entire time I was reading this, I had the goofiest grin on my face. But I couldn’t help it, the characters were just too adorable. For once, I actually really liked the main character since Zoe was just so down to Earth, sensible, and funny. And Chase, her love interest, was absolutely amazing. No other words needed. I’m definitely going to be binging on Sariah Wilson’s other books now, and I can’t wait to start.

Some funny quotes that made me laugh:

(This is Zoe talking about her love for board games): “Trivial Pursuit games ended with me drinking the tears of my fellow players and leaving a trail of their bloodied hearts all over the board.”

And when Zoe’s friend Lexi compliments her, this is her mental response: “The only way I’d ever be smoking hot is if I were cremated, but I loved her [Lexi] for saying it.
At least somebody thought I was hot.”

4.5 stars

Note: Not squeaky clean. There are some mild/ not so mild kissing scenes, but nothing worse than that.

Spanish/English Review.

This will be a short review because I'm keeping my feelings to myself for the review video that's coming next week. But what can I tell you, I'm a sucker for love stories and usually when I read somewhat heavy books (specially if they took me some time to finish or the story was overwhelming) I like to read light books, ones that have a "predictable" plot. This series had been in my TBR for a while and I decided to grab them during the holidays. At this time that I'm writing, I'm halfway through the third novel, and no doubt I'm a fan to book series that have different stories per novel. They follow a same topic, and the stories are similar, but the setting is totally different.
