The horror was solid and definitely creepy.
I liked some parts of the ending a lot and really didn't like other parts of it. Mainly who survived, like someone else deserved so much better, but noo piece-of-shit character got their happy ending

"I LOVE Horror. There's something about letting another person lead you into darkness that is both unbearably terrifying and exquisitely thrilling. "

I HATED almost everyone in this book, I’m not gonna read anything by this author ever again (sexist, racist and fat phobic!)

Author does not know how to write women. The beginning of the book was very boring, but I would have pushed through to the end if the one woman character wasn't so poorly written that it gave me the ick.

i like it but the whole story is a bit underwhelming for me?? definitely not my most favourite book that involves haunted houses. i was expecting something more sinister, dark and creepy :,)

Very creepy and unnerving. The details and scenes were well-written and I was frequently grasping for a security blanket! I found parts of it a bit slow but the exciting bits made up for it! I hope he writes another one.
