I’m so mad at this book. The writing is so bad. Just watch the Netflix series. The story is good, but the writing… it was a ghostwriter, right? Because I generally like Coben books. Seriously, just watch the show. Life is too short to read bad books
This book was GREAT! It had so many unexpected turns and it was intense to read! An unexpected, bittersweet ending. A must read.

Just as I thought I knew what had happened, the book had a huge twist which left me shocked. The ending was not expected and I’m looking forward to reading more of his books in the future. 3.5

Probably one of the best stand alone Coben's books I've read. Really liked the character, and what a twist and bitter sweet ending. Definitely recommend this one.
I didn’t care to find out what happens. I also couldn’t connect with the protagonist or her story.

The mystery works. I have heard others say Coben cheated with his surprise ending, that he didn’t play fair . I guess I agree, but the reveals happen so fast, it didn’t bother me in the moment as much as it does sitting here reflecting on it.
The main issue is the one note characters. It was completely forgettable. Maybe I’ve read enough beach-read thrillers for a while and I’m being too harsh. I think you’ll enjoy it for the most part if you choose to read it
