IRL book club pick that we held on April Fool's Day. She planned that well! We had a great dinner with prank food and prank toys and discussed. I hadn't finished reading when book club day came, and I found it interesting the plot points they pulled out in the discussion. As I finished reading, a lot of those plot points weren't as important as I thought. Twisty mystery. The ending will get you.
Maybe I made a mistake watching the series first. I thought it was much better than the book. I recently read Missing You, then watched the series and felt the opposite. I thought the series left out so many good details and was disappointed. So after I finished it, I thought, well, maybe I missed some really good points of Fool Me Once that weren’t included in the series. Also, I wanted more information on Kierce before I started Nobody’s Fool, and there was barely any storyline on him besides him investigating Joe Burketts’ murder. Hoping I don’t waste time on the sequel.

Nowhere near what I expect from Harlan Coben. The plot is so fanciful and convoluted that believability is stretched thin. As always, the writing is crisp, but this time, the story is not.
I will be very honest here. This book had its moments but it was also very boring at times.
I stopped reading it somewhere at the middle because the plot was jumping from one character to another and it just wasn't doing it for me.
I hated the dialogs.
The "clues" were appearing out of nowhere.
And I couldn't connect with the main character due to her cold personality.
BUT I didn't want to leave the book unfinished so I came back and read it.
I liked the ending and it was actually very enjoyable.
I guess I'm feeling a little confused about this book.

Perfect beach read! Couldn’t put it down. Not super high quality fiction but still fun.
