This is the first Harlan Coben book I've ever read and I loved it. It was a slow start and I wasn't really into it in the beginning, but as soon as things picked up and I could not put this book down. In this one we follow Maya, who was in the army, as she tries to figure out the murder of her sister and her husband. She basically goes on this one woman mission, investigating, following leads and talking to people all by herself, with the occasional help of her best friend Shane, who was also in the army.
Her husband comes from a very rich, well known family. The type of family that holds a lot of secrets. Maya starts to uncover some of those secrets and the story unravels from there. I loved this book. I loved how the author reveals just the right amount of information as big events unfolds, I loved how this kept me on my toes and I loved the plot twist. It took me completely by surprise and that doesn't happen often. I would highly recommend this and I will definitely read more of Coben's books.

Very good story. The right person died. So sad in the end. Mia should have lived. This book made me cry.
I like mysteries that keep me guessing right until the end. This one did. I kept changing my choice for "who dunit" right up to when it's all revealed.
This is the 2nd or 3rd book I've read by this author. They've been good enough for me to seek out his other books.
Definitely recommend.

Had me hooked right from the beginning. I love a book where it doesn't turn out quite like I expected. Very captivating and an enjoyable read.
