I loved the conversational tone of this. Elton John has a ton of stories to tell and he knows how to tell a story. I wish that my kindle had a link to play songs as he talked about them. Note to amazon, get on that!

Super inspiring about such true talent and passion. This felt so honest. The descriptions of various relationships, addiction, and the many facets of celebrity really catapults you into the moment. I felt a little slowness somewhere around the 75% mark but then really enjoyed the last few chapters about marriage, fatherhood, retiring, and Elton John's relationship with his mother. I'm such a fan and this memoir really gave me an ever deeper sense of Elton's psychology. He's also hilarious- I laughed multiple times at some of his one-liners.

Great dishy book about a legendary rock star. Loved the narration and style of the book. What a life Elton John has lived.

Too many books, not enough time. Also, I’m not a big enough Elton fan to be interested in the minutiae of his career.
