If the last chapter was the rest of the book I would have enjoyed it more.
Things I did like:
The Dads - they were the best thing about the book, so different from each other and so in love. Bonus points for one being German and being so eccentric it made me laugh out loud a couple of time. I also really liked the main character was a big science nerd.
Things I didn't like
The whole concept of the book - it was about the main character not feeling beautiful. But it never went deeply into why she didn't feel attractive, what were her flaws, why did she think people saw her differently (not just because she was into science)? It was also about consent, the main character buys pheromone pills, which apparently make her very attractive to everyone who may have an attraction to her. This ruins her friendships and she starts dating a guy. The issues of consent were addressed but it made me cringe whilst reading most of the book.
The final chapter was lovely, sent my heart all a flutter, I just wish the book had started there and there was a continuation of that storyline. I highly recommend Laura Steven's duology 'The Exact Opposite of Okay' that was a five star read.

Ahhh this is so cute and fluffy - it would be such a cute 90s teenage romcom movie!
I actually loved this - which is surprising as I am by far the worst human at science...honestly it does not compute with me at all. I adore science but I super struggle with it!
So this was a beautiful book for two reasons: 1. i got a cute AF romcom boom about a girl learning about love and friendship and 2. I got huge sweet amounts of nerdy science info

not my favourite Laura Steven book - I think maybe partly because it's a slightly younger ya than TEOOO - but it's still fun and funny and cute. and unexpectedly gay and touching in places
