absolutely adoooored this book, i loved all the characters, i love the way it’s written, i laughed so much and got really attached to the characters omg this book brought me so much joy. well not every time ... but mostly !! Tori is an incredible character and i love how she’s challenged all over the book. i need to say tho this book was literally my first book so i’m not completely objective about it i had’nt read anything before and so i’m incredibly attached to it.

Good read if you don't expect a lot of plot

i guess i just didn’t really understand tori spring. i’m sure i would like this more if i was more like her, but i also feel like the book isn’t finished? like i still have so many questions. why did the kids at micheal’s old school not like him? was he just weird? what even happened with the thing that caught fire? i didn’t understand at all but i like how dramatic she made everything so there’s that.

The Heartstopper series is one of my favourite series of all time, so I was really excited to read Tori’s story b/c she is one of my favourite characters. It did not disappoint! This book was very raw and emotional. As Alice explains, the themes of this book are much darker than the Heartstopper series and I’m glad I knew about that going into this book, so I wasn’t caught off guard while reading.
