I loved the beginning, although the end was a little slow. Overall, it is a fantastic addition to the Percy Jackson universe and it really fills out the massive world Rick has created.

After finishing The Son of Neptune, I was elated to start The Mark of Athena because of the cliffhanger signaling a PERCABETH REUNION. Which was adorable. This book was so great as all of Riordon's books are... but the ending was, to be frank, quite... unexpected.. and by unexpected I mean...

WHY PERCABETH MY OTP THEY HAD JUST REUNITED OH MY GOSH WHY OH WHY

and in conclusion, this was definitely one of my favorite books in this wonderful series.

I literally looked forward to reading everyday , that's how good the book was . It had just the right words to keep me hooked on and the plot and characters were brilliant ! Rick did it again

Overall impression:
The Mark of Athena is another entertaining read from Rick Riordan and brings one of my favorite characters back into the spotlight. Beware: there’s another cliffhanger at the end that made me want to pull out my hair in anticipation for the next book.

These books are so sweet and endearing but also terrifyingly serious at the same time. How do they do that? Well, on to the next!

“Then Percy let go of his ledge, and together, holding hands, he and Annabeth fell into the endless darkness”

WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY????? favourite so far, i love annabeth’s chapters and the seven of them are just iconic
