Love:
One of the strongest elements of this book is how it dives into the characters—especially Caldamir. His arc in this book is so layered and emotionally raw. Every decision he makes is painted in shades of grief, loyalty, and an ever-present tension between duty and desire.
World-building, too, is expanded with impressive depth. There’s a richness to the setting that makes it feel lived-in and real, without ever dragging the pace. The magical elements continue to evolve in fascinating ways, revealing more about the cost and complexity of power in this universe.

Don’t Love:
There isn’t much I didn’t like, but for the sake of a balanced review, I’ll mention a few small things. There were a handful of minor spelling and grammatical errors that briefly pulled me out of the narrative. They were far from deal-breaking, but given how immersive the prose is otherwise, these little slips stood out more than they might in a less polished book.

Without question, Moon stole my heart. Mischievous, clever, and absolutely adorable. There’s something incredibly refreshing about how she’s written—not just as comic relief or a token magical creature, but as a real, emotionally intelligent presence in the story. Her antics had me smiling more than once, and I’m hoping she gets even more spotlight in future books.

This was probably the strongest installment in the series so far in terms of plot progression and character development. The story finally felt like it had some forward momentum, and I appreciated getting to know the characters a bit more deeply.

That said, the reading experience was still bumpy. Numerous spelling and grammatical errors distracted from the flow, and there were several moments where transitions were so unclear that I had to reread sections multiple times—and still wasn’t sure what was happening. It often felt like pieces of the story were missing or poorly edited.

Overall, I’d sum it up as: solid plot ideas, but the execution continues to fall short. I’ll likely keep going with the series, but my expectations remain tempered.
