Dos melhores livros que li! Uma óptima continuação para "E Tudo o Vento Levou".

I think it offends people that I liked this book. It's not that I like it as a sequel to the original. I don't think they compare in many ways, but I do think it's a good book, just on its own.

DID NOT FINISH — I will not rate a book that I shelf as “did not finish.” I don’t believe it’s fair to put a rating on books I didn’t read from beginning to end.

I don't care what anyone says - I simply adore Scarlett O'Hara! I will be a fan of her character until my dying day.

I found this book to be every bit as good, if not better, then its predecessor. Where it was not penned by Mitchell, I was skeptical about whether the "feel" of the book would be the same. However, Ripley did not disappoint, and this novel has very much the same quality and breath-taking excitement as [b:Gone With the Wind|18405|Gone With The Wind|Margaret Mitchell|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1166913011s/18405.jpg|3358283].

The chapters where Scarlett is living in Ireland were my favorites. The writing in these chapters is full of rich description, to the point of the reader being able to amply envision the scenes and events. Perhaps the best part of these chapters in the change that occurs in Scarlett O'Hara Butler. It's always nice to see the protagonist of a story be capable of change.

The ending? Why, it's the best!

Figured I'd re-read this too once I finished re-reading GWTW. NOT as good as I remember it being when I was younger.

So good!! I could have been 200 page shorter; but nonetheless amazing!

Just don't go in to this expecting a real sequel and you'll be fine.
