the last few chapters of this book made the first many worth it...but the first 3/4 are so slow and mysterious I almost didn't have it in me to follow through to the end.

I'm not really a fan of when an author dances around an idea for a whole book without ever telling the reader what's up, but like I guess I can see the appeal sometimes.  The reveal at the end puts the whole rest of the book in a new light...but we get that glimpse at the world and then it's over. I get left wanting to know more lol.

slow at first but once i got hooked it became really intriguing. the ending made me really sentimental and genuinely made me question what it meant to be human despite my initial skepticism to the reviews.

definitely not for everyone but i liked it.

A very interesting and unique book. The author doesn't completely hide the destined fates of the characters throughout the book. Which are unfathomable. It's the how and why that are the mystery.

solid 4 star character-driven book. the whole concept was really interesting and i likes how it was told in reflection as the narrator looked back at her life and she cool identify the through lines that she didn’t see in the moment.
