4.5 — 5 stars: I really loved this book. I have long respected Sarah Polley’s creative work as an actor, writer and director, and admired her moral courage as a political activist. This set of biographical essays, however, revealed to me an even more remarkable aspect of Polley’s character: the courage to be vulnerable and the integrity to share her experiences with honesty and humility. I was deeply moved at several points as I read her stories and that, to me, is the surest sign of an effective writer. Strongly recommended.
