I really enjoyed the non-linearity of the story as it was told. I struggled a bit with the split POV - not because it was split but because it bounced between first and third person. I greatly appreciated the thread of awareness surrounding mental health woven throughout the book.

I loved the complexity of this story; Jo was especially complicated, which added to a rather drawn-out love story. Mal's  personality and decisions kept me reading. I love that he didn't give up  on Jo, even when she did stupid actions (a lot might I add). But overall, I appreciated the happy ending.

I wanted more from this. The first half was compelling, but the latter half dragged for me

Loved this read! It was a little slow to start, but once I got in I was hooked! I loved Mal's character. I liked how he was able to understand different viewpoints. I enjoyed seeing the growth in Jo's character! When it came to those scenes 🔥🫠 yeah… lol 10/10 I would recommend this book

safe to say i DEVOURED this book!! i'll be giggling and kicking my feet one time and then i'll be crying tears the next. this is how i want my romcoms to be!!! it's MORE than the typical love triangle for it's also an exploration of race, mental health, and platonic and romantic relationships. good pacing and writing, we see how the main characters undergo growth and gradually form strong relationships. one of my faves for sure!!!!

i just wished we saw more from Dahlia since she had an interesting backstory (it seemed to be it was just thrown out there for the plot) and more from Ezra and Jo's friendship bc they seemed really in tune with each other!! other than that, i couldn't put this down!!!!
