I freaking LOVED this book! I can't believe I've slept on it, because it is a brilliant dark romance! I've been looking for a book (specifically, a male mc) to give me the same feelings as God of Malice and Killian Carson, and let me tell you that Caden King DELIVERED! This man is UNHINGED and dark! There's barely any redeemable qualities, but the few that there are will have you falling in love! I already loved him from the first 5% of the book, which says way too much about me. 😂
Caden uses Billie, but it's through spending time with her that he realizes she's it for him, whether she wants to be his or not. I honestly couldn't get enough of him. And his nickname for her is "little bee"!!

Beautiful Fiend by Lola King
First of all- check your trigger warnings!! This is a dark romance and a lot of uncomfortable scenes in this book.
Rival gangs that are literally at each others throats non stop. When Billie gets blackmailed into helping Caden do some jobs for him in secret we assume all things are going to go hell.. but what happens when the psycho falls for the girl from the other side of the tracks? PURE CHAOS
This is definitely a wild ride for sure! Caden is unapologetically his psycho self with no remorse. Billie is just a a freaking bad ass that takes no shit. The push and pull tension between these two was off the wall in the best ways. Their relationship was doomed from the get go, but seeing them grow as individuals was actually really beautiful. You underestimate how like minded people are in different circumstances and usually want the same things.
Some of the dialogue in the book made me ehh about the interactions amongst the other members of the rivals. I just had a hard time believing that was some of the things they would say, but as always I know this is a work of fiction and can easily move past it.
Over all- I actually really enjoyed this book! This was my first Lola King book and can see why people love it!

This book was absolutely thrilling with the way it kept me on edge of my seat the whole time as the 2 mc's are from rival gang's. This is my first book by this arthur and mercy why haven't I found her sooner she speaks to my dark side oh so well as she now has a new fan. I don't want to give out any spoilers your just going to have go in blind and definitely enjoy the ride.

I mean, I love a good dark romance but this was even dark than dark - this was almost bleak. The angst was good and the spice was excellent. I usually don't have triggers when it is something that happens to the main characters but I am not a fan when the triggering event happens between the main characters. I just couldn't forgive Caden and it dampened my entire experience with this book.
The writing is great, the storyline is spicy and well done. And I know some may think his redemption arc was great - but I don't think his final "selfless" act at the end was good enough to make up for the trauma he created.
If you have no triggers - this is a great book.

What a damn rollercoaster
Holy hell this story takes you for a wild ride for sure! It’s Romeo + Juliet meets spicy modern gang dark romance. The characters are surprisingly likeable and I found myself freaking out over the plot twists and turns several times.
