This was a middle of the road Bridgerton book for me but I had a good time with Gregory and Lucy. The plot was a bit different from the others, given the blackmail and trip to the alter/annulment. I was impressed that Julia Quinn took it so far and that Gregory’s protest failed the first time. I felt the discussion around love and what it was or wasn’t intriguing, but would have appreciated more depth from the characters. I really wanted to like Hermione but couldn’t quite get there—I didn’t dislike her but also didn’t gravitate towards her character (though perhaps that was the intention?). I enjoyed Hyacinth and Gregory’s relationship and how fiercely she stands up for her closest brother.

Y así hemos llegado al final: Gregory, el último Bridgerton en casarse. Aún quedan los segundos epílogos, pero hemos llegado al final de la historia original y debo admitir que disfrute mucho cada uno de los hermanos y su búsqueda del amor.
El libro inicia con un prólogo donde vemos una escena futura del libro, pero sin detallar a la protagonista principal y eso da un poco más de hype cuando comienzas a conocer a los protagonistas y te preguntas: ¿será Hermione? ¿Lucy? Y a mi parecer, tendrían que haber dejado más tiempo la duda durante la trama para hacerlo más interesante. Sin embargo, disfrute lo orgánica de la relación entre Gregory y Lucy: amigos y después lovers.
El libro no me lleno de esa necesidad imperativa de terminarlo inmediatamente como "When He Was Wicked", pero me entretuvo lo suficientemente y el final me gustó.
