Overall this was a fun little read. The smut kind of took away from the story imo. It was a bit much but I guess if you’re into super over the top graphic sex scenes then go for it. I definitely giggled over some of the banter and the character development was decent!

This book was such a cute and enjoyable read! Seeing Piper’s world turn upside down when she’s told to move back to her childhood home town with her sister, after a reckless decision that ended up with her in jail, was very amusing. Seeing this trip turn from unwanted to eye opening was such a cute journey. She grows closer with her sister, grows a connection to her father and his family, makes unlikely friends with the townsfolk and finds unsuspecting love.

This was a fun, very spicy read that was pretty well written. There was definitely cringey dirty talk and if I had to hear the words “Recharging Station” one more time I would’ve screamed. Piper had a solid character arc and Brendan needs anger management/therapy. There was also a point when I yelled out loud, “Does no one text!?” But I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a romcom/beach read and would be willing to check out Bailey’s other books.

It was trashy, but not in a bad way.

10/10. This has got to be one of my new favorite romances. I wasn't even planning on reading this book right now but I am so glad that I did. I am not usually someone who has book boyfriends or crushes, but Brendan has made it to the top of the list (with Peeta Mellark, obviously). The first about 100 pages were a little mediocre but after that, I practically couldn't put the book down and was constantly thinking about it even when I wasn't reading. I love the character growth from the characters and all of the ensemble characters as well. The ending felt somewhat abrupt with not a lot of resolution time but not too much that it threw me off. I love this book and I highly recommend.
