I have got to admit that a decent amount of this book is predictable but I find myself not caring too much. These audiobooks are so easy to fly through and the story is pretty decent. It's not a literary masterpiece but it's a really cool supernatural witchy series and I'm enjoying the heck outta it.
The mystery and intrigue continue, the friendships continue to shift (most for the better in this book), and betrayal hasn't ended in Morgan's life. This girl is dealing with a ton of stuff and somehow handling it all but man, she's going to break soon.

Morgan is heartbroken when Cal tries to kill her and then disappears with his mother. Hunter has approched the Cirrus coven about taking over the leadership of that coven now that Cal has left. Morgan is also struggling with feelings for Hunter that she cannot explain. When Alyce and David at Practical Magick tell her that they may have to close the shop because the person holding their loan is telling them they have to pay it off at once. When all of a sudden the fortunes of the store change, Hunter becomes suspicious. Morgan also is feeling dark magic in the area and Hunter also believes the David from the store may have something to do with that.
As this series progresses, it seems to get better and better.
