It was like this author saw one hockey game and decided to base a romance book off that one experience and do no other research. What a wild time. Terrible.

FMC was awful. The 3rd act breakup was dumb. If anyone needed to make a grand gesture to show they deserved the other it was wolfie. She needed to prove she deserved HIM! He did too much and she was awful.

Oh Jasper. Sweet, loveable, golden retriever Jasper. He falls first and HARD for Wolfie. She’s headstrong through and doesn’t give in right away. Because of that we get a really slow burn with this book. Their first kiss though ends up being HOT and we are rewarded with a few spicy scenes after that. Because of how Lulu wrote their story you really believe in their love and oh my gosh do you fall in love with every side character. This hockey team friend group was a blast to read about. I flew through the rest of this series!

3.5-Pro Hockey player, guy falls first and really tries/chases, fun banter and very slow burn, fun read! Jasper was so sweet and his and Wolfies friendship to relationship was perfect. Writing was hard to read at some points.

I really wanted to like this one. The preview drew me in, hot NHL player who falls for a visiting British women he literally runs into on the street. Love at first sight for him but not so much for her. It started out strong but then I found that the slow burn was just too slow for me. I enjoy writers from all areas of this earth and the inclusion of their cultural norms for language. However, I did find the reference to many hockey related terms that sounded more like a soccer or rugby match to be a bit of a turnoff. If Wolf was referring to a hockey game as a 'match' that's fine, but Jasper referring to his skates as boots or his hockey bag as a kit bag are definitely not North American terms. On the positive side, the writing is strong and the story line unique so if you like a slow burn and a guaranteed HEA, give this one a try. 2.5 stars from me.

I hated that they were cowboys fans and also jasper’s nickname for Wolfie and that her nickname to begin with is wolfie and I hated the conflict at the end. I also found wolfie to be kind of annoying
