Oh my freaking god, that was atrocious. Amateurish. "Luckily, I'm perfect" first person narrator. Who's just perfect! And so much more talented than everyone else! And there's a Baddie who is a bad dancer and horrible and only there because his dad's rich...etc etc etc. and probably NOT GAY and HOMOPHOBIC (I stopped at 55%, so never found out and don't care). And/Or a TOTAL SLUT because I bet this book slut shames later on (okay, I have no idea if that is in any way fair or accurate, but the book is really that basic and clumsy).
What a disappointment. I've been rereading my faves, and my just resume. So many of my recent forays into new books have been dreadful.
I bet I would have loved this (or written it - in fact I think I did) when I was 12. And no one ever ever saw it. That was a good thing.
