This book started out creepy, and ended with my sobbing.

I was rooting for the main character the whole time. I appreciate how her story of addiction was handled. And the twist actually got me as I was so wrapped up in Mallory not losing her job.
And I was crying so much at the moment trying to frame Mallory in the way she did. Begging nearly as much as the character.
I also love how as the character is realizing things the reader does to. The way things clicked for me like the certain concerns of the mother, and the child’s behavior!
And the sprinkle of the Housemaid with the way Mallory was hired (not saying it was intentional just my own funny comparison)

I will start with this, the kid is adorable!
Mallory was a fun character and a lot of growth comes with her.
The mystery of the drawings was as intriguing as they were creepy.
I liked this book as a good mix of horror and mystery and the plot twist was absolutely shocking and my favorite part of the whole thing.

okay i LOVED THIS BOOK. such an easy read- i was skeptical because it had paranormal things which is not my jam but seriously the plot twist with teddy was amazing!!!!
So hear me out. This book started with real potential and then the last 10% of the book can only be described as annoying. I felt like I was reading a completely different book at the end. Somewhat of a spooky factor but that quickly wears off too.
